Eason Sneak Peek

I couldn't wait to post a few of these from taking pictures of some family friends we've know forever! All I have to say is CUTE! The red hair is awesome. Blogger is killing me with how flat it's making the colors, but overall we had a fun time today. I got so many cute ones of their little 2-year-old I can't wait for her mom to see them! (Which is saying a lot since she is like Ben and just goes and goes!)

Spring Meet 2008

I had the amazing opportunity at work this morning to document this year's Spring Meet for the special education students from districts in the area. It was so hot outside, but you can't have a bad day when it's spent around such great kids. They were adorable and full of life! Here are just a few pictures from the day I thought I would share! They really made me appreciate my healthy toddler!

Bowers Sneak Peek

The Bowers' and Potts' kids had fun playing when their sessions overlapped in time a little today. They were all excited to see each other which is always fun! Brady wasn't thrilled with having his picture taken, but the longer we shot, the more he warmed up to it. Natalie definitely knows what to do in front of a camera, she's too cute! I know Shannon has a love affair with her kids feet so there was plenty of that to go around! We had fun!

Potts Sneak Peek

I had such a fun day today! All three of the families I took pictures of were great! Here is my first family. All I can say is CUTE! I didn't have to work much to get cute pics of this family. They got the luck of the draw with lighting since the sky was cloudiest when I was shooting them. These boys were perfect and little Grayson was killing me with his grins! I hope to have previews of the other two up tonight as well, but everyone in our house is tired!

A Rookie Mistake

I'll be upfront and honest with all of you because most of you that read this are friends or family of mine! I had the wonderful opportunity to take the family photo of some family friends of ours. And not just one segment of the family, the ENTIRE family. I have never done a full group shot of 10+ people. So I need way more practice doing that.

But I made a rookie mistake. See, John had taken some pictures earlier in the day and was shooting at a high shutter speed to get a good picture of some things he was selling on Craigslist. So when I got to the beautiful gardens on Sunday afternoon I was staking out our spot trying to make sure we wouldn't be interrupting people enjoying the festivities there. I got everyone arranged on the strangely angled staircase. And I forgot to check my camera settings and just started shooting. I was shooting at ISO 1600 and in such bright light and that just means GRAIN. Grain grain grain! I was so disappointed when I got home and looked through all the shots, but thankfully I was able to Photoshop them enough to get the skin tones smooth. If I had the opportunity to do it again I would. But I will forever be checking my camera settings! Overall they look pretty good. What do you think? I might be photoshop'ing some of the kids faces so they're looking at the camera. It's HARD getting them all to look at the camera!

Cedar Hill State Park

While camping this weekend I really wanted to get a good shot of each of the kids that were there. Why? Because they're all crazy adorable! The first one of Aubrey is probably my favorite! It actually required a bit of Photoshop work to so I may do a full post on that later! Then below those are a couple of random shots from when Ben and I went exploring after dinner!
